🌯 Tandoori Paneer Kaathi Roll Recipe

A spicy, smoky paneer filling wrapped in soft rotis with tangy onions and fresh mint chutney—this roll brings the thela-style charm straight to your kitchen.


🧂 Ingredients (for 2 rolls)

For Paneer Filling:

  • Paneer – 150g, cubed

  • Thick curd – 2 tbsp

  • Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tsp

  • Oil – 1 tbsp

  • Salt – to taste

  • Onion – 1 sliced

  • Capsicum – ½ sliced

  • Lemon juice – ½ tsp

Masalas:

  • ½ tsp Kashmiri Mirch Masala (for colour & mild heat)

  • ½ tsp Tandoori Masala (for smoky depth)

  • ¼ tsp Kitchen King Masala

  • A pinch of Special Garam Masala

  • Chat Masala – for garnish

Other:

  • 2 whole wheat or maida rotis/parathas

  • Mint-coriander chutney

  • Onion rings & lemon wedges


👨‍🍳 Method

1. Prepare Tandoori Paneer:

  • In a bowl, mix curd, all masalas (except Chat Masala), ginger-garlic paste, and salt.

  • Add paneer cubes and sliced capsicum. Marinate for 15–20 mins.

  • Sauté in oil on high flame till slightly charred. Squeeze lemon.

2. Assemble the Roll:

  • Heat the roti. Spread mint chutney.

  • Add paneer filling, a few onion rings, and sprinkle Chat Masala.

  • Roll tightly. Toast on tawa with a few drops of oil till slightly crisp.


✨ Pro Tip:

Swap paneer with grilled veggies, boiled egg, or even leftover tikki for variety. Use the same filling inside toasted sandwiches too!
