🍤 Recipe: Queen-Style Chimbori-Kolambi Rassa
(Aromatic crab and prawn curry, coastal-style)
🧾 Ingredients:

Prawns (Kolambi) – 300g, cleaned

Crab (Chimbori) – 2 small, cleaned & cracked
-
Onion – 2 medium, finely chopped
-
Tomato – 1 medium, chopped
-
Ginger-garlic paste – 1 tbsp
-
Fresh grated coconut – 3 tbsp
-
Tamarind pulp – 1 tbsp
-
Oil – 3 tbsp
-
Salt – to taste
-
Water – as needed

Coriander – for garnish
🧂 Masalas:

Koli Mix Masala – 1 tbsp

Fish Masala – 1 tbsp
-
Chimbori-Kolambi Masala – 1 tbsp

Special Garam Masala – ½ tsp

Jeera Powder – ½ tsp
👩🍳 Method:

Roast & Grind:
Lightly roast grated coconut till golden. Grind it with little water to make a smooth paste. -
Sauté Base:
Heat oil. Add onions, sauté till golden brown. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté till raw smell disappears. Add chopped tomato, cook till soft. -
Add Masalas:
Add all the masalas – koli mix, fish, chimbori-kolambi, jeera powder, and special garam masala. Fry well till aromatic. -
Build Curry:
Add coconut paste and tamarind pulp. Mix well and add water for desired curry thickness. Boil for 5–7 mins. -
Add Seafood:
Add prawns and crab. Cook covered on low flame for 10–12 mins or until seafood is done. Do not overcook prawns. -
Rest & Garnish:
Let the curry sit for 10 mins before serving. Garnish with fresh coriander.
